We describe the different types of watches in a couple of ways, either by its purpose or its movement. By purpose we mean whether you’re wearing it for fashion or something specific like diving. And by movement we mean what powers the watch. Here’s a quick summary of the different types of watches you’ll find across Hoskings watch brands:

Most watches come with a degree of water resistance, which means they’re able to resist water splashes. However, it’s important to realise very few watches are entirely waterproof. Here are the different grades of water resistance you’ll find in Hoskings watch brands:
- 30M Water Resistance: Accidental light splashes.
- 50M Water Resistance: OK to wear while hand washing & in shallow water.
- 100M Water Resistance: Fine for swimming & snorkelling, but not for water sports.
- 200M Water Resistance: Suitable for serious water sports e.g. surfing or jet skiing, but not scuba diving.
- 200M DIVERS: Designed for scuba diving, however not at depths that require helium gas.
